How do I download a file from this web site?
After clicking on the download link, you will be redirected to the file on Megaupload. Once you are there, you will be required to enter an image verification code (CAPTCHA). Then, simply click on "download file" and you will have to wait for a couple seconds for the download link to appear. Now click "Regular download".

Why did you choose Megaupload as your primary file hosting service?
First of all, the first thing that needs to be understood is that the storage space required for this web site's media is 20 - 30 gigabytes. There exists NO web host that lets users upload this amount of data for free. In fact, it would be extremely costly to do so. However, there is a useful workaround for this phenomenon. There are many online services that let users upload files in large sizes for free. Rapidshare, Mediafire, and Megaupload are some of the most popular services among them. The reason why I chose Megaupload is because of its length of time that it keeps the files stored for, which is 90 days! Others will have a length of as short as 30 days.

Why does the browser show an error page when I try to download a file or click a link to navigate through this web site?
It is likely that you have an encountered a broken link, due to an error in HTML or PHP coding. Please click here to go to the Contact page and be sure to include the URL in the message textarea. This is the best way I can fix small errors, since it would take too much time to go through each page every day to detect errors. However, I assure you I scan every page on this web site before actually posting it as a link in the navigations menu.

After I click a download link to a file, it redirects me to Megaupload. Once it loads, however, Megaupload states either "It was an invalid link to the file" or "This file has been removed".
Even though there is a small chance for the likelihood for this to happen, there is only one reason for this phenomenon. The file was most likely removed due to its inactivity and expiration date in Megaupload's policy. Please understand that after I upload a file onto Megaupload, it automatically receives an expiration date to be deleted after 90 days. This will probably never happen! I have a scheduled time for when I reupload all the files approximately 1 - 2 weeks before their expiration date. So if this spontaneous phenomenon were to happen, the best thing you can do is be patient for 1 - 2 days, because I may be busy.

What is the password for all the downloads or archives here at Anime Extent?
The password for all the downloads or archives is "anime". [Without the quotes!]

Why did you encrypt every download or archive with a passsword?
Anyone can locate links to all the major downloads that are offered here at Anime Extent from search engines, forums, and other outside sources. I would very much prefer visitors actually downloading files from my dedicated site instead of anywhere else. Therefore, setting up a password for all these downloads would aid in decreasing the chances of that happening. I know that it's possible for my links to be distributed elsewhere, but I want Anime fans to come to this site in order to freely download the content provided here.

When I try to extract one or more downloaded file archives, why do I get an error message saying "The file is corrupt"?
This can mean one of the two possibilities:
  • Because of broken connections from your internet, certain portions of the archive did not fully get downloaded.
  • The file did not correctly get archived, meaning it is an error from my side.
If the first option listed above applies to you, simply re-download the archive, making sure that your internet connection is working fine. If your PC gives you this error after 2 to 3 attempts, then it must be an error from my side. If this is the case, please click here to contact me. Be sure to include which file or archive it applies to or simply list its URL in the message, saying that it is giving you such an error after your repeated download attempts. I will make sure to have it fixed in the next 24 hours!

Which file extracting software do you recommend for all the downloads on this web site?
There are many that are available, but I'm sure you will find ups and downs from each one. I recommend using WinRAR. Click here to visit their official web site and download it. You can use whichever archiving software you wish, but the reason why I recommend WinRAR is because I have zipped ALL the downloads available at Anime Extent by using this program. Not only that, but I've also used it to encrypt a password to each one, which means you will never come across a problematic error as long as you use the original program used to zip the archives in the first place.

Regarding The Site

What is the reason why it was decided to give this web site the name "Anime Extent"?
The purpose of this site is to provide Anime media to its fans for a long time to come. Better yet, I should say for an "extended" amount of time. I hope it doesn't sound too dull or anything! I know that there have been numerous times where I have searched the net for sites that offer free, and high quality Anime content such as full episodes, movies, etc. It's quite hard to find sites that are devoted to doing that. I'm well aware that there are many forums, which most likely have known about, that offer all of these downloads. But the problem is that there are times when the links they post for downloads become dead, making it a temporary service. I will make sure that the name of this web site sticks to its actual meaning and provided these downloads to you in extense!

When is the next time a certain page on this web site will be updated?
It just depends, really. If it has to do with full episodes or other downloads and it looks "unfinished", it means it will get updated pretty soon. However, keep in mind that I will not upload new episodes daily, because that would be very time consuming. For example, consider the following situation: There is an Anime series that is still getting air time with new episodes each week and is currently at episode 215. I will most likely have uploaded up to 200 episodes for that particular series. Episode 215 won't be uploaded until the series approximately gets to its 250th episode. That way, I can upload 50 episodes all at once, rather than doing one each week as it airs on TV. You can consider series such as Death Note or Samurai Champloo to have been fully uploaded, since those are all older series that are no longer releasing new episodes. Series such as One Piece or Bleach, however, are different stories!

Which software and programming languages were used in designing Anime Extent?
So far, the two programming languages that are used for the site are HTML and PHP. More could possibly come into play if I decide to add databases or features to this site such as a forum or other types of user registration system. For text, links, and background formatting, I've written a couple lines of CSS here and there. Finally, I am using Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for layout and image editing. I'm well aware that are newer versions out for Adobe Photoshop, but I've grown used to version 7.0 for quite some time now and find it satisfying. If you like my work, wish to give me suggestions, or have any questions, feel free to contact me.
